This week we bid a fond farewell to Joanne, who has been an integral member of the Elrod Lab as a postdoctoral fellow. During her time with us, Joanne made outstanding contributions to our research in mitochondrial calcium, bringing fresh ideas, dedication, and collaborative spirit to every project.

Beyond her scientific achievements, Joanne has been a valued colleague, mentor, and friend. From leading experiments and sharing expertise with trainees, to contributing to publications and advancing the lab’s mission, her impact will be felt for years to come.

Joanne is now embarking on an exciting new chapter, transitioning to a career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, where we are confident she will continue to thrive and make important contributions.
